WHAT COUNTS AS HATE GRAFFITI
Hate graffiti is any tag, drawing, symbol, or message that attacks people for who they are. It targets race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability, and it is meant to intimidate a whole community, not just the owner of the wall.
That includes swastikas and other Nazi or white supremacist symbols, racial and ethnic slurs, antisemitic, anti-Muslim, anti-Black, anti-Asian, and anti-Indigenous messages, homophobic and transphobic language, coded hate numbers and symbols, and threats aimed at a group. It can appear on brick walls, mailboxes, bus shelters, schools, places of worship, parks, sidewalks, or private property.
If you are not sure whether something qualifies, report it anyway. Our crew reviews every report and decides on removal. Ordinary tags and street art are not our focus, but anything that spreads hate is.
